Cambridgeshire County Council is committed to helping people live healthy, safe and independent lives. We are looking for a motivated Contract Management Officer to support the delivery of key highways contracts that underpin vital services across the county.
You will play a key role in managing and monitoring our Highways Term Service Contract, ensuring strong performance, value for money, and delivery aligned with corporate priorities. Working within the Highways Commercial & Contract Management Team you’ll collaborate across the council to ensure services are effective, efficient and fit for purpose. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong stakeholder skills and the ability to navigate complex environments to drive positive outcomes.
What will you be doing?
- Supporting the management of highways contracts worth circa £65m per annum
- Monitoring performance, delivery and programmes across infrastructure services
- Working with NEC3, NEC4 and PFI contracts
- Supporting continuous improvement, including digital-first approaches
- Producing analysis, reports and performance insights
- Collaborating with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure effective contract delivery
About you
You will have:
- Strong organisational and analytical skills, with confidence working with data
- Knowledge of highways contracts, construction/civils, programme management and supplier engagement
- The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
