Life Sciences IP Lawyer, 12 Month Contract

The Opportunity

The organisation is now in need of a senior IP lawyer to join for 12 months. The role will require leading on IP matters which will range from complex scientific projects to collaborations, largely focussed on IP but with data privacy and technology aspects. You will have the opportunity to work closely with the science teams, delivering effective legal support for the ongoing implementation of strategy and advising on complex IP arrangements. You will provide support on data governance as well as having an eye on technology initiatives.

You will support the organisation on a wide range of matters specifically focusing on the research, development and commercialisation of new and ongoing research. The work will be varied and will involve drafting and reviewing licensing agreements and other agreements relating to research and medical development as well as wider activities of the organisation.

About You

This is a unique opportunity for a senior IP lawyer with life sciences experience to join an innovative, forward-thinking organisation with an excellent reputation and keen dedication to its purpose. IP experience in healthcare or tech would also be useful, with any data privacy experience also being of interest. Key is an interest in working on complex IP agreements and developing an understanding of how these translate in the wider context of the work of the organisation.
