Excellent opportunity for a Data Privacy Lawyer to join a British household name. The purpose of the role is to primarily lead on Data Privacy globally for the business, both in an advisory and operational capacity. It is an exciting time to join the business as AI in this sector as well as industry regulatory changes mean the business is investing in these areas and as a result, the business needs excellent legal judgment, strong technical knowledge and a highly commercial approach.
This role will deputise the DPO and be the go-to person for all Privacy matters affecting the global business. It will suit an individual looking for a hands-on role with significant stakeholder engagement, whilst also acting as the lead data privacy advisor to a number of complex privacy matters affecting a global, well recognised brand. The company is headquartered outside London. However, an excellent company car package is also on offer.
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Substantial experience of working within a complex Data Privacy environment, either in-house or with a reputable law firm.
- Solid understanding of European Privacy rules (including GDPR) affecting a technology focused global organisation.
- UK or European Legal qualification.
- Demonstrable experience of influencing senior stakeholders.
- Ability to work with a global business.
