The Position
The company is now looking to appoint a Head of Legal for its Corporate functions. The purpose of the position is to be a trusted legal advisor to the business and advise on investment activities and structures. You will be responsible for structuring deals (joint ventures, etc) and providing the legal advice and documentation for various deals. The business is looking for good legal judgment and a corporate lawyer who can also advise on corporate governance and commercial matters as well as overall risk and compliance for the wider business, both in the UK and across Europe.
About You
The position is a unique opportunity for a corporate or corporate finance lawyer to join a business as Head of Legal for Corporate and really work closely with senior management on investment decisions and structuring deals. You will be involved with decision making from initial stages, advising the business as options are considered and decisions are made. The ability to roll your sleeves up and advise on corporate governance, risk and some commercial matters will also be key. Providing good legal judgment for the business will be the most important function of this position. Knowledge of finance, investments and deal structures will be key, along with the ability to exercise this knowledge for the wider needs of the business, providing sound legal advice to support commercial decisions. The role will be London based, 4 days a week in the office with occasional travel to the other parts of the UK.
