The Opportunity. The company now has a need for a senior lawyer to join the business as the sole lawyer for the company. As Group Legal Counsel, you will work closely with senior management and manage all legal matters for the business. The opportunity will suit an individual with a commercial background ideally in FMCG, retail or consumer sectors who is looking to work closely with a business and, as the sole in-house lawyer, lead the legal function for the business.

The work will range from corporate and commercial contractual negotiations to corporate governance, risk management and stakeholder advisory matters. You will also oversee IP, marketing, regulatory matters (packaging, etc) as well as supply chain and distribution.

About You. A broad general commercial background is key, with any experience of having worked with or advised clients in the FMCG, retail or consumer sectors being useful. A keen interest in brands and an interest in working for a growing and agile brands business, rolling your sleeves up and really getting behind the brands is key.
