This leading real estate company is one of the UK’s largest private owners of retail, commercial and industrial property, with a portfolio of more than 25 million square feet of real estate across the UK. The company has diverse interests, with a focus in recent years on acquiring real estate in Europe.
The company has a new opportunity for a real estate lawyer to join its Bristol city office. In this role, you will have responsibility for managing your own portfolio, including landlord and tenant, estate management and development work. You will be part of a legal team with lawyers in several offices around the UK. Day-to-day responsibilities will include providing strategic and commercial advice to the business with a focus on supporting the asset managers. Working closely with the business, you will be proactive in identifying potential risk for the business and offering solutions.
A strong commercial real estate background is essential. Landlord and tenant experience is key, along with excellent drafting and negotiating skills and ideally asset management experience. The role will suit an individual with strong commercial acumen who wants to work closely with the business and who is interested in a wide-ranging role; who can manage a range of tasks at one time and who is comfortable working directly with the business. Strong interpersonal skills are also key. This is an excellent opportunity for a real estate lawyer to join a market leader in a sought-after in-house position.
