We’re scaling fast and value an open-source legacy, global collaboration, and meaningful work. This role defines a new Observability Architect function within our Customer Experience organization.

The Opportunity:

As an Observability Architect, you will help shape an elite, post-sales technical partnership function. You will plot the path to observability maturity for a portfolio of Grafana customers and work closely with Engagement Managers to drive renewal, value realization, and ROI.

You will own the long-term adoption, expansion, and overall experience of your customer portfolio, managing technical relationships, providing strategic consulting, and ensuring value delivery from Grafana products. You will be the primary technical contact for customers and the voice of the customer to Product Management and Engineering teams.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for a portfolio of Grafana customers.
  • Design the observability maturity journey of customers and guide them along it.
  • Provide expert-level troubleshooting and guidance to drive adoption.
  • Conduct regular technical reviews and health checks to ensure client success; assist in root cause analyses to improve satisfaction and product experience.
  • Advise clients on best practices and strategies to achieve their business goals with Grafana technology.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop and execute technical roadmaps.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize costs, expand use of Grafana solutions, and adopt new products and features.
  • Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders.
  • With support from Engagement Managers and Onboarding Solutions Architects, own the customer lifecycle.
  • Drive adoption and effective use of Grafana product suites to maximize customer value and ROI.
  • Advocate for customer needs, priorities, and feature requests within Grafana.
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate clients on Grafana technology.
  • Develop and deliver technical documentation, guides, and tutorials.
  • Participate in regular reviews with customers to identify improvements, assess ROI and satisfaction, and discuss upcoming needs.
  • Prepare and present reports on client metrics, achievements, and focus areas.

What Make You a Great Fit:

  • 5+ years of technical sales, TAM, or post-sales technical experience, ideally with open source technologies or in the observability space.
  • Experience deploying and operating Kubernetes.
  • Ability to connect product usage to value (ROI) and manage the customer lifecycle.
  • Creative problem-solver with a technical mindset and willingness to grow technically.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills for collaboration with remote teams and global customers.
  • Technical background suitable for advising on observability solutions; engineering or post-sales experience is valuable.

Bonus Points:

  • Strong understanding of observability tools; Grafana, Prometheus, and Loki are a plus.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously.
