As a Compensation Director you will provide direction, expertise, and leadership for Compensation professionals with the broader Payroll Tax and Compensation Team. Responsible for all operational activities for a team that creates calculations, audits, triggers payment instructions, reports taxability of mobility benefits, performs global financial reporting on behalf of our worldwide clients and all global compensation ancillary services such as cost projections, certificate of coverage, tax payment and tax equalisation services. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Coordinates, manages and directs the departmental processes, activities and outcomes for Client Financial Services in area of global compensation services. This includes but is not limited to, developing and monitoring internal controls, creating process efficiency, ensuring adherence to established processes, and performance management. Demonstrates a clear understanding of the company goals/ objectives and implements strategy for execution.Directs departmental staffing in line by creating budgets and headcount targets. Includes ongoing capacity management, defining performance goals/objectives/ metrics, and process performance measures. Monitors overall operational costs and implements strategies to drive cost reduction. Ensures staffing is at optimal levels based on work volume, complexity, and forecasting. Making certain staff members are properly trained, procedures are documented and available to staff. Promotes staff’s career goals and progressions, developing opportunities for staff development.Leads overall team development by directing special projects, developing advanced processes and systems, works across all areas to CFS to safeguard departmental success and proactively works with all Graebel departments to meet company goals and objectives.Supports new business development and incremental revenue opportunities. Provides support in review of RFP requests for nonstandard scope requirements and customizing responses if needed. Provides leadership and guidance for successful implementations. Supports best and final presentations when requested.Ensures compliance with client service level agreements, cycle time standards, quality goals and client satisfaction targets. Develops and adjusts workflow management strategies to prevent financial risks/penalties and adherence to deadlines. Provides guidance /leadership to team, including manager(s), supervisors and associates within the department. Leadership escalation points of contact for all internal stakeholders and external clients. Attend client strategic account planning sessions and assist with coordinating action plans for service recovery.Responsible for the development and execution of special projects, cooperatively working with both internal and external partners to collaborate on strategic initiatives.Leads in line with CFS directed staffing model of leadership teams and business unit. Carries out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.Required SkillsBachelor’s degree in a related field7-10 years related experience and/or training5-7 years management experience OR a equivalent combination of education and experienceRequired Software Skills: Advanced Excel, Intermediate WordStrong written and oral communication skills with ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions in person-to-person and small group situations with customers, clients, general public and other employees of the organization. Ability to read, analyze, and understand general business/company related articles and professional journals. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and policy/procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to virtually and in-person settings.
