Weβre looking for motivated individuals to join our hard-working factory team. They will be responsible for running machinery to meet the required quality and maintaining production and quality records. Ensuring a safe working environment whilst meeting output targets and quality standards are key in this position.
Key Requirements
- Essential
- Excellent manual handling skills: The role does involve manual handling of both product and materials. Therefore good physical fitness and the ability to transport goods, equipment and materials according to health and safety best practices.
- Proficient with operating equipment: Must always follow the guidelines for specific machinery such as cutting equipment, drills and bespoke assembly machinery.
- Flexibility and excellent time management: Able to work under pressure with a high level of attention to detail without close supervision, once training is complete.
- HSE Standards: A good understanding of relevant health and safety regulations. It is expected that once training is provided, you will ensure that you are always fully aware of the safety aspects of using the machinery and any potential hazards, remaining vigilant at all times. This includes understanding any safety devices, emergency procedures and being proactively aware of your environment.
- A good level of numeracy and a flexible attitude to learning new skills are essential to this role.
- The ability to work successfully as part of a team is essential.
- Previous experience in a production environment is required.
- A mechanical aptitude would be an advantage.
- Self-motivated with the ability to use own initiative.
- Good and assertive communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good housekeeping.
Shift Pattern: Monday β Friday 8.00 a.m. β 4.45 p.m. (4.30 p.m. finish on Friday). 2 x 15min paid breaks and 1 x 45min unpaid lunch per day.
