Start your career in tech, problem-solving and innovation. I’m working with a fast-growing legal technology company that’s shaking up a traditional industry in a big way. They help law firms and in-house legal teams cut down the time spent on complex document drafting by up to 90%, giving lawyers more time to focus on meaningful, high-value work. They’re already trusted by over 40 of the UK’s top 100 law firms. Now, they’re looking for bright, motivated graduates to join their team and be part of their exciting journey.
If you’re a graduate with a STEM-related degree who enjoys logic, spotting patterns, solving puzzles, or working through challenges step-by-step, this could be the perfect first role after university.
About the Role
As a Graduate Document Automation Specialist, you’ll join a supportive and collaborative team where you’ll learn how to turn complex legal documents into smart, automated templates using technology. Don’t worry if you’ve never coded before — full training is provided, including an introduction to XML. What matters most is your mindset: curiosity, attention to detail, and a love of problem-solving.
You’ll be working on real projects from the start, learning valuable technical skills, and building experience in a growing and future-focused industry.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Learning to code document logic using XML
- Turning legal questionnaires into automated Word and PDF templates
- Breaking down complex information into clear, structured solutions
- Working closely with a friendly, knowledgeable team to solve challenges
- Testing your work to make sure everything runs smoothly and accurately
- Applying logical thinking to create smart, efficient document systems
Think of it as part tech, part puzzles, part creativity.
Who They’re Looking For
This is a graduate/trainee role, so potential and attitude are just as important as experience. You’ll likely be a great fit if you have:
- A 1st or 2:1 degree in a numerate, analytical, technical, or STEM-related subject (or similar)
- Maths A-level (grade A preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical way of thinking
- Good written and numerical skills
- An interest in coding, tech, data, or problem-solving (no formal experience needed)
- The ability to take complex information and make sense of it
And personally, you are:
- Curious and eager to learn new skills
- Someone who enjoys figuring things out
- Organised and able to manage your time
- Comfortable speaking to different people and working as part of a team
- Adaptable and open to new ways of working
Training & Career Growth
You’ll be supported from day one with a structured training programme designed to help you build confidence and develop technical skills. For the first 6 months, you’ll be based in the office to help you learn quickly, ask questions, and get to know the team. After that, there’s the opportunity to move to a hybrid model (around 3 days a week in the office), depending on performance. There’s also real scope to grow your career, take on more responsibility, and progress into more senior roles over time.
What’s in It for You?
- Competitive graduate salary
- Private health insurance
- Life assurance
- Dental and optical plans
- Cycle to Work scheme
- Hybrid working (after training period)
- A genuine focus on work–life balance
- Regular company-funded social events and team activities
Why This Role?
This is a brilliant opportunity for graduates who enjoy logic, structure, and learning new systems to kick-start a career in tech — even if you didn’t study computer science. You’ll gain hands-on experience, build valuable technical skills, and be part of a company that’s modernising an entire industry. If you like the idea of working in a role that challenges your brain, rewards attention to detail, and offers real progression, this could be the perfect place to start.
