Looking to start your career in a role where you can learn fast, earn well, and progress quickly? This Graduate Recruitment Consultant scheme is designed to take you from hands‑on operational experience into a client‑facing recruitment consultant role — often within your first year. This is not a “watch and learn” role. You’ll be trusted, supported, trained, and challenged from day one.
You’ll begin in the Operations team — the engine room of the business — where you’ll learn how recruitment really works and build the foundations for your consultancy career. During this phase, you’ll:
- Be the first point of contact for candidates and clients (in person, phone, and email).
- Keep the business running smoothly through a variety of day‑to‑day admin and coordination tasks.
- Support the CEO’s PA with organisational and project‑based work.
- Create and schedule social media content showcasing jobs, company news, and internal initiatives.
- Track and present key business data (calls, interviews, attendance, performance).
- Host fortnightly infrastructure presentations for consultant teams across London, Birmingham, and Brussels.
- Join weekly consultant training sessions to understand the full recruitment lifecycle.
- Support consultants with lead generation and candidate pipeline development.
It’s fast‑paced, varied, and the perfect way to build confidence, commercial awareness, and credibility.
Your Progression: From Operations to Consultant
After around three months, you’ll complete your operational sign‑off and present your learnings to team leaders across the business. From there, you’ll step into a Trainee Temp Consultant role, where you’ll:
- Work directly with candidates applying for temporary roles.
- Develop your commercial skills and start contributing to revenue.
- Earn commission, take part in weekly incentives, and enjoy a little healthy competition.
With continued training and support, you’ll progress to a Temp Consultant, managing temporary assignments and building strong candidate and client relationships. Many graduates reach this level within their first year.
What’s in It for You?
- Structured, hands‑on training from experienced consultants.
- A genuinely supportive and collaborative team culture.
- Clear, fast progression from operations into consultancy.
- Development of communication, organisation, and commercial skills.
- Competitive earning potential — many graduates achieve up to £50k in their first year.
- A role that keeps you learning, challenged, and involved from day one.
You’ll thrive here if you’re:
- Confident, professional, and enjoy speaking to a wide range of people.
- Highly organised, adaptable, and comfortable in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proactive, positive, and eager to learn.
- Interested in building a long‑term career in recruitment.
