What type of things will I be working on?

On this 2-year Graduate Scheme, starting September 2027, you’ll complete 6-month rotations working on real projects that deliver tangible business benefits, with placements aligned to your interests and career ambitions.

The Electronics Manufacturing Graduate Scheme provides hands-on experience in high-precision, automated electronics manufacturing and test systems. You’ll gain experience across:

  • Process improvement and optimisation
  • New product introduction
  • Electronic test development
  • Manufacturing operations

You’ll be exposed to advanced processes including Surface Mount Technology (SMT), through-hole assembly, die placement, wire bonding, in-circuit testing and functional testing, while developing mechatronic skills across electronics, software and hardware integration in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Where will I be working?

This role is based out of one of our main sites in Wotton-under Edge in Gloucestershire. Since our Renishaw sites are located in semi-rural areas, applicants should ensure they have reliable means of transport to reach the site, as public transportation options may be limited. Alternatively, applicants should be willing to relocate to the local area.

What do I need?

We’re looking for passionate candidates expecting a 2:1 or above (or equivalent) in a relevant computer science or software engineering discipline.

Training and development is excellent so candidates with no experience but a keen interest in electronics and engineering will be strongly considered. If you are excited about the role but feel as though you don’t meet all the requirements, we would encourage you still to apply.
