Graduate JavaScript Developer in Somerset

This small software-house in the South-West creates various software products for retail and healthcare clients across the UK.

They are seeking a graduate JavaScript developer to join the team over the coming months.

You will be trained one-to-one in the specific technologies used by the company. These are mainly JavaScript focused, but include some Java development using a specific platform that you are not expected to have prior knowledge with.

Ideally, you will be based in the office, at least for your initial training, then moving to hybrid if preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Maintaining and improving existing features using JavaScript and some Java.
• Creating new features within two main software platforms produced by the company.
• Software testing and bug-fixing.

About You

• 2:1 (or equivalent) degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related.
• Confident with OOP, ideally in Java/JavaScript.
• A passion for software development (a portfolio/GitHub profile with examples of your work would be beneficial).
• Due to the location, a driving license and the ability to get a car would be desirable.
