The Role
This School & College Leaver Scheme offers a 12-month introduction to financial services, with six-month rotations in trusts and funds. You’ll gain practical experience, work with clients and financial professionals, and discover which area best matches your interests and strengths. You’ll have a dedicated manager, mentor and buddy to support your learning, alongside opportunities to attend industry seminars. After the scheme, you can pursue a funded professional qualification aligned with your ambitions, with room to grow and explore different career paths.
Key responsibilities include:
- Learn how to manage client finances, bank accounts and everyday transactions.
- Build relationships with clients and professionals, developing your communication and people skills.
- Help new clients get started by organising information and carrying out important checks.
- Work with fund directors, banks and administrators to see how financial services operate.
- Get hands-on with financial data, percentages and calculations while developing your attention to detail.
- Help coordinate important transactions, working alongside lawyers and other professionals.
- Work as part of a supportive team, solve problems and take on more responsibility as your confidence grows.

Requirements
Must-Have
- A connection to Guernsey and eligibility to work locally.
- GCSE Maths and English at grade 6 or above.
- A Level, BTEC, or equivalent qualifications in written or numerical subjects.
- A proactive, collaborative attitude and willingness to learn.
- Curiosity, ambition and confidence to ask questions.
