The Role
As a Policy Graduate, you’ll gain practical experience across two 12-month rotations, with opportunities spanning areas such as Banking, Investment, Fiduciary and Pensions, and Digital Finance. You’ll contribute to policy development, analyse complex issues and work with stakeholders to understand different perspectives. Alongside your role, you’ll receive training and study support towards the Investment Management Certificate (IMC). You’ll strengthen your research, writing, analysis and meeting management skills while gaining confidence with senior stakeholders. With plenty of room to learn and grow, the scheme can support progression into Senior Policy Analyst and future management roles.
Key responsibilities:
- Draft policy and regulatory changes using research, analysis and stakeholder insight.
- Engage stakeholders and manage differing perspectives to support effective policy development.
- Analyse financial services issues and assess risks linked to significant transactions.
- Take accurate minutes from meetings and capture key actions and decisions.
- Build financial markets knowledge through funded IMC study and training.
- Develop policy expertise across two specialist rotations.

Requirements
We’re looking for graduates who are curious, analytical and motivated to build a career in public policy.
Must-Have
- Experience in Policy, whether that is through an internship, volunteering, or a full-time role
- Excellent writing skills
- 2:1 degree or above in Economics, Geography, English, History, STEM or a similar subject
- Right to work in Guernsey or the UK
- Commitment to relocating to Guernsey
Nice-to-Have
- Interest in financial services, financial markets or regulation
- Quantitative study or experience involving research and analysis
