The Role
As a Graduate Business Development Executive, you will take full ownership of your own sales territory β effectively becoming the commercial lead for your area.
Your week will typically involve:
- 3 field-based days meeting clients, delivering demonstrations and closing business
- 2 office-based days (Birmingham) focused on prospecting, planning and account development
- Managing the full end-to-end sales cycle
- Developing relationships with new and existing customers
- Analysing your market, planning strategically and managing performance against targets
Please note: This is a highly field-based role requiring frequent travel and regular overnight stays.
Training & Career Development
You will begin with an intensive onboarding programme combining classroom learning with hands-on field training, covering:
- Product and solution knowledge
- Consultative selling and negotiation skills
- Customer meetings, demonstrations and deal progression
Development is continuous and structured, with:
- Ongoing coaching and mentoring
- Clear progression routes
- Typical progression into team leadership within 3 years and area / regional management within 5 years
- Formal leadership and management qualifications
- Every manager within the organisation has progressed internally.

- Β£33,000 base salary + location/area allowance

Requirements
- Degree educated or in your final year (any discipline)
- Some exposure to sales preferred, gained via a placement year, post-graduate role, internship, part-time work or alongside studies
- Highly motivated, resilient and target-driven
- Strong communication skills and leadership potential
- Full UK driving licence (automatic or manual)
- Eligibility to work in the UK from Summer 2026
- Please note due to the structured training programme that holidays can\βt be taken during the first 12 weeks with the exception of your graduation ceremony
