Do you love puzzles, precision and numbers? GRB are currently partnering with a boutique international tax advisory firm who are looking for a detail-obsessed, curious and numerate graduate to train as a US/UK Tax Trainee. You’ll work closely with senior advisors to solve some of the most intricate tax scenarios for private clients, working on cases that require logic, analytical thinking and a meticulous nature. This is not ordinary accounting. You’ll deep-dive into the complexity of dual tax systems, working with numbers, rules, and real-world cases to make sense of challenging client situations. You can study for a number of tax qualifications including the Enrolled Agent (EA) and ATT so that you are qualified in the UK and US tax systems.
What could you be doing?
- Assist the partners and senior team with preparing individual UK and US tax returns
- Completing tax returns for complex clients
- Handling client issues
- Learning rules regarding international taxation
- Using Excel and tax software to analyse and manipulate client data
- Conducting research into tax topics
What do you need?
- A strong love of detail
- Excellent numeracy
- Interested in working within an international tax advisory firm
- A degree (or equivalent) in any degree background, with Maths, Economics, History or other analytical degree subjects desirable
- US citizens or those from a US background would be of interest (Visa sponsorship available)
