The Role

As a Graduate Commercial Executive, you’ll sell exhibition space and sponsorship for a major food, drink and hospitality event. You’ll work with businesses ranging from well-known FMCG brands to independent suppliers, helping them reach buyers and decision-makers across the industry. You’ll receive support from an experienced events team while developing valuable skills in new business sales, account management, negotiation and relationship building. It’s a varied role with plenty of opportunity to learn, attend industry events and grow your commercial career.

  • Build relationships with new and existing food and drink clients.
  • Sell exhibition space and sponsorship by phone and face to face.
  • Develop and manage a strong pipeline of commercial opportunities.
  • Attend exhibitions, networking events and relevant industry events.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and support event floorplan management.
  • Work with marketing and operations to help grow the event.

Requirements

Must-Have

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • A proactive, organised and commercially minded approach.
  • Confidence speaking with new people and building relationships.
  • Motivation to work towards sales targets in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-Have

  • An interest in food, drink, hospitality, events or sales is useful, but no previous sales experience is required.
