Future Biogas - Renewable Energy Graduate Scheme (Lincolnshire)

Established in 2010, Future Biogas has grown rapidly and is now at the forefront of the UK anaerobic digestion and bioenergy industry, with 11 operational sites across the country. Following the acquisition by 3i Group plc, a FTSE 100 global investment firm, the business is entering an exciting new phase of growth, with new site developments and ambitious expansion plans over the coming years.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a business where graduates can make a genuine impact from day one. Future Biogas prides itself on its values of Safety First, One Team and We Care, and are looking for enthusiastic, adaptable and innovative graduates that are keen to build a long-term career in renewable energy.

The Future Biogas Graduate Scheme

This two-year rotational graduate programme will give you broad exposure to the renewable energy sector while developing the technical, operational and project management skills needed to build a long-term career within the business.

You will work on live projects, learn from experienced engineering and operations teams, and take on meaningful responsibility from an early stage. Each placement will broaden your experience, strengthen your commercial understanding and help you identify the areas of the business that best match your interests and strengths.

Future Biogas has a strong track record of developing graduates into long-term careers within the business. Previous participants have progressed rapidly into positions of real responsibility, including operational site management and Project Engineer roles.

Every graduate who has completed the scheme has been offered further career development opportunities, including funding to support additional qualifications and further study.

What's on offer?

• £32,000 starting salary, with salary progression throughout the scheme.
• A structured 2-year graduate development programme.
• The opportunity to secure a permanent role on successful completion of the scheme.
• Extensive training across engineering, operations, project management and data optimisation.
• Genuine responsibility from day one on industry-leading renewable energy projects.
• The chance to help shape the future of one of the UK's fastest-growing bioenergy businesses.

What we're looking for

We’re looking for practical, curious graduates who are genuinely passionate about renewable energy and excited by the work Future Biogas is doing. You’ll enjoy solving problems, working in varied environments and getting stuck into the wider business, bringing positive energy and a proactive approach to every opportunity.

Ideally, you'll have:
• A 2:2 or above (or equivalent) in a relevant degree.
• A full UK driving licence and your own car (or be on track to obtain both by your start date).
• A genuine interest in renewable energy, engineering and sustainable technologies.
• The flexibility to travel between sites and, if required, relocate later in the programme.

Application Process
• Submit your application via the GRB site with an up-to-date CV.
• Initial telephone or Zoom interview with GRB.
• Successful candidates will then be invited to an in-person assessment centre on 27 August in the Grantham area, with support towards travel costs provided if required.
