The Role
As a Graduate Software Developer, you’ll contribute to the design, development, testing, and support of web-based enterprise software. You’ll receive guidance from experienced developers while building practical skills across software development, functional programming, C#, F#, and SQL.
You’ll work on real projects from requirements through to delivery, giving you a broad understanding of the development lifecycle and a strong foundation for progression. If you enjoy understanding how things work, solving problems and continuously improving your approach, this is a role where you can grow.
- Analyse requirements and help translate business needs into effective software solutions.
- Design and develop features for existing applications and new software systems.
- Write, test and maintain code primarily using F# and functional programming principles.
- Investigate technical issues and collaborate with colleagues to deliver robust fixes.
- Create SQL queries and reports to work with enterprise databases and business data.
- Support software packaging, deployment and best-practice development across the team.

- £32,000–£35,000 starting salary.

Requirements
You don’t need extensive commercial experience. We’re looking for graduates who are curious, proactive, and keen to keep learning.
Must have:
- A 2:1 or First in a Computer Science or related degree.
- Passion for software development and technology.
- Confident programming skills.
- A desire to learn functional programming (F#).
- Ability to communicate technical terms clearly.
Nice to have:
- Programming experience with C#, F#, and SQL.
- Evidence of commercial awareness, personal projects, or practical coding experience.
