Graduate Recruitment Bureau - GRB

Start your sales career with a growing software business, helping hospitality companies find the right tools to manage bookings, payments and customer relationships. You’ll receive thorough training before building confidence with warm leads and progressing towards larger clients and territory responsibility.

The Company

This ambitious software business provides a number of tools for hoteliers and accommodation providers, ranging from independent B&B owners to small hotel chains, enabling them to manage reservations, connect with customers, manage payments and promote their business. They have thousands of satisfied clients across UK, Europe and North America.

The Role

You will start your sales journey by speaking to smaller customers over the phone, who are largely warm or existing customers, or have instigated interest already (inbound leads). These will be small businesses to begin with but as you progress, you look after larger clientele.

This is a remote role, although you will be required in the London office for the first 2-4 weeks for their thorough training schedule and for the odd meeting thereafter

Responsibilities:

  • Understanding customer challenges in order to tailor and sell the right software proposition
  • Completing demonstrations of the product
  • Closing deals
  • Using CRM to ensure all sales data is fully accurate and up-to-date.
  • Working with your sales manager and marketing team to coordinate and implement targeted and effective email campaigns.

Training; You will be required in the office for the first 2-4 weeks. You will meet plenty of the team across different departments as part of the onboarding process to provide you with knowledge on company vision, role expectations, understanding business systems, product knowledge, sales call structures, software demonstrations etc. By week 3 you should have the required knowledge and confidence to start speaking to prospects.

Progression; within 12-18 months you should be progressing from the junior role whereby you will be taking on the challenge of larger clientele (typically 4-15 rooms) and within 2-3 years targeting a move up to Territory Manager with responsibility of all clients in a geographical territory. The last person that joined at this level has doubled his earnings within 3 years. The Sales Director, Sales Managers, Head of Partnerships and Marketing Director all came in at junior level.

Benefits and Perks

  • Salary: starting at £25-£30k + commission for achieving objectives. Realistically expect £3k-£5k on top in year one although earnings are uncapped. Projected earnings exceed £45k in year 2 and £60k in year 3
  • 25 paid holidays per year plus statutory bank holidays, healthcare, pension, EAP
  • Flexible working policy
  • Regular training & meetings to support your development
  • Combine success and fun within a great company, together with smart and driven people

Requirements

  • Hard work ethic; we are looking for those who have decided to work when not studying and want to graft!
  • Resilient, patient, inquisitive, adaptive to different people
  • Keen to understand customer problems and how to solve them
  • Experience in customer facing careers such as sales, property, hospitality, leisure and retail
  • Given the sector, any experience in hotel reservations would be an advantage
  • Whilst the role will be remote, ideally you would be living in a reasonable commute to London given you will need to be there for the first 2-4 weeks for training and for the odd meeting
