This firm in are looking for an immediate starter to join their team as an Accounts Assistant in Bristol.

Expect to receive excellent training via a structured induction programme, followed by a high level of responsibility in the role. Within your first year you will be speaking to clients. The business are also willing to invest into your professional qualifications, giving you options to pursue the AAT or ACCA after 6 months in this role.
The Role:
As a Trainee Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper, you’ll build practical accounting experience while developing your confidence with clients and financial processes.
You’ll receive structured support before taking on greater responsibility, with room to grow into your own client portfolio.
There may also be an opportunity to progress into accounts preparation after 9-12 months, depending on your development.
- Complete bank reconciliations, ledger management and accurate accounting data entry.
- Communicate professionally with clients through Teams, telephone and occasional meetings.
- Work towards client deadlines while maintaining accurate financial records.
- Build towards managing a portfolio of approximately 20 clients.
- Process expense claims and support payroll activities with strong attention to detail.

Requirements:
- Relevant A Levels, AAT or IAB qualification.
- Experience with Xero, Sage or QuickBooks is ideal.
- Ability to commute to Bristol five days per week.
- Strong communication, organisation and attention to detail.
- Genuine interest in accounting, bookkeeping and finance.
Previous bookkeeping, finance, payroll or accountancy practice experience is desirable, but not essential.
