The Role

As a Graduate Business Development Executive, you will take full ownership of your own sales territory β€” effectively becoming the commercial lead for your area.

Your week will typically involve:

  • 3 field-based days meeting clients, delivering demonstrations and closing business
  • 2 office-based days (Birmingham) focused on prospecting, planning and account development
  • Managing the full end-to-end sales cycle
  • Developing relationships with new and existing customers
  • Analysing your market, planning strategically and managing performance against targets

Please note: This is a highly field-based role requiring frequent travel and regular overnight stays.

Training & Career Development

You will begin with an intensive onboarding programme combining classroom learning with hands-on field training, covering:

  • Product and solution knowledge
  • Consultative selling and negotiation skills
  • Customer meetings, demonstrations and deal progression

Development is continuous and structured, with:

  • Ongoing coaching and mentoring
  • Clear progression routes
  • Typical progression into team leadership within 3 years and area / regional management within 5 years
  • Formal leadership and management qualifications
  • Every manager within the organisation has progressed internally.

  • Β£33,000 base salary + location/area allowance

Requirements
  • Degree educated or in your final year (any discipline)
  • Some exposure to sales preferred, gained via a placement year, post-graduate role, internship, part-time work or alongside studies
  • Highly motivated, resilient and target-driven
  • Strong communication skills and leadership potential
  • Full UK driving licence (automatic or manual)
  • Eligibility to work in the UK from Summer 2026
  • Please note due to the structured training programme that holidays can\’t be taken during the first 12 weeks with the exception of your graduation ceremony
