In its second decade, this company is a Technical and Business consultancy and offers bespoke solutions to its customers. They champion openâsource and bestâofâbreed technologies. Most of their clients are within the defence arena, and so candidates must be eligible to obtain UK government security clearance.
Due to a busy growth period, this technical consulting firm is keen to hire a graduate to join their Platform Engineering team. The role will be largely based on site during the early months of your employment, but can go hybrid in the long term. You will work closely with senior engineers and the wider team to support and optimise platform infrastructures.
Duties
- Assisting in the design, implementation, and maintenance of cloudâbased infrastructure on Azure.
- Collaborating with team members to deploy and manage applications using Docker containers.
- Utilising Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC) to automate deployment processes and ensure scalability and reliability.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of CI / CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
- Troubleshooting and resolving platformârelated issues, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Implementing and maintaining version control using Git, ensuring proper branching and merging strategies.
- Staying upâtoâdate with industry trends and best practices in cloud technologies and infrastructure automation.
Skills
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject.
- Strong understanding of Git version control system.
- Experience with cloud platforms, particularly Azure.
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) concepts and tools, especially Terraform.
- Proficiency in containerisation technologies such as Docker.
- Knowledge of CI / CD pipelines and experience with Azure DevOps.
- Excellent problemâsolving skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
