The predicted salary is between 50000 - 60000 £ per year.

Location: Hybrid role, home based with a minimum of 2 to 3 days per week initially in the London office depending on customer requirements, leading to 1 to 2 days in the office over time.

Salary: Negotiable depending on experience plus 10% bonus, £6k car allowance and full benefits package.

Our client is a global leader in food manufacturing offering excellent career progression and job satisfaction. They are currently looking for a National Account Manager to manage a portfolio of customers including major UK retailers.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Formulate account strategies that will exceed all objectives.
  • Add value to and be a harmonious part of an excellent team.
  • Understand and use all Commercial Processes to effectively manage day to day tasks.
  • Overall responsibility for all agreed Customer Projects to ensure that we continually exceed customer expectations.
  • Build and maintain strong internal relationships, to ensure your customers get the necessary focus.
  • Negotiate and influence for new listings, distribution increases, additional promotional space and where necessary price increases.
  • Interrogate ongoing performance, deliver clear insight and then implement the necessary actions to influence change.
  • Ensure accurate internal communication to supply team regarding promotions/changes to distribution and keep up to date customer files.
  • Cross functional working with departments and develop a very good product knowledge.

Skills:

  • Experience working with brands or Own Label will be considered and having both will be preferable.
  • Understands and takes ownership for delivery of objectives.
  • Ability to effectively network across all customer departments, being seen as part of their team.
  • Ability to build positive internal relationships, to unite all resources and to work in a high functioning team to achieve required outcomes.
  • Ability to sell and win new business through using quantified features and benefits.
  • Influencing others and negotiation.
  • Financial/commercial understanding together with intellect and curiosity to interpret performance and recommend action.
  • Ability to organise, prioritise and to work in an efficient manner, focusing on what really matters and delivering within agreed timeframes.
  • Able to bring customer messages and insight into the business to enable course correction and plan creation.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
  • Strong skill on Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

Profile & Skills:

  • Minimum of 2 years national account experience managing one or more major UK retailers.
  • Entrepreneurial self-starter with real passion and energy to win.
