As a Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be required to undertake a design role on high pressure pipeline and plant systems, working to high engineering standards within the budgets and timescales set by our clients. Having been awarded at least a 2:1 (Upper Second-Class Honours) in a Mechanical Engineering degree accredited by the IMechE, you will be seeking to gain Incorporated or Chartered Engineer status.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing project control from initial approval through to commissioning and handover.
- Ensuring agreed work-hour and cost targets are adhered to through effective project and financial control.
- Preparing project plans and programmes to ensure work is carried out in accordance with company requirements, to meet and ensure client satisfaction.
- Providing appropriate engineering designs in accordance with relevant company, client, national and international standards. Ensuring good engineering practices are maintained.
- Evaluating tenders and providing recommendations for contract award.
- Managing contracts and authorising invoices within allocated financial authority for payment.
- Maintaining good client relationships to help secure continuing business.
