A dynamic and forward‑thinking law firm is seeking an experienced Civil Litigation Solicitor to join its growing team. This role is ideal for a confident litigator who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, enjoys client contact, and can manage a varied caseload with autonomy and professionalism.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle a broad range of civil litigation matters, including but not limited to:
  • Contractual disputes
  • Property and landlord/tenant matters
  • Debt recovery
  • Professional negligence
  • Contentious probate
  • Consumer disputes
  • Manage cases from initial instruction through to settlement or trial, including drafting pleadings, witness statements, applications, and correspondence.
  • Conduct advocacy where appropriate, or liaise with counsel for more complex hearings.
  • Provide clear, commercially focused advice to clients, maintaining excellent standards of client care.
  • Negotiate settlements and represent clients in mediations and alternative dispute resolution processes.
  • Maintain accurate file management and ensure compliance with regulatory and internal procedures.
  • Contribute to business development activities, including networking, writing articles, and supporting the firm’s growth strategy.
  • About you:

    • Qualified Solicitor with 1–3 years PQE in Civil Litigation (other levels considered based on experience).
    • Strong technical knowledge across a broad range of civil litigation matters.
    • Confident in managing a busy caseload with minimal supervision.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong advocacy skills and experience attending hearings.
