Garden House at Graduate Cambridge is hiring a Kitchen Porter to join our kitchen team.
Set in the heart of Cambridge city centre, steps from the River Cam and The Backs, Graduate Cambridge is a 148-bedroom hotel with a food offer built by the team behind Lina Stores and Kricket. Our kitchen cooks seasonal, produce-led British food with fire at its heart, across a busy restaurant, bar, café, 24-hour room service and events.
No great kitchen runs without a great KP. You'll keep everything moving, clean and safe, and you'll be a valued part of the brigade from your very first shift. No experience? No problem. We'll give you full training.

What you'll be doing
- Washing pots, pans, crockery, glassware and kitchen equipment to a high standard
- Keeping the kitchen, stores and back-of-house areas clean, tidy and safe throughout service
- Following cleaning schedules, including deep cleans of equipment and kitchen areas
- Receiving and putting away deliveries, and supporting stock rotation
- Managing waste and recycling correctly
- Using cleaning chemicals safely in line with COSHH procedures
- Helping the chefs with basic food prep when needed
What you'll bring
- A strong work ethic and a willingness to get stuck in
- Reliability and good timekeeping
- The ability to stay calm and keep pace during busy service
- A positive, supportive presence in the kitchen, even when the pot wash is piling up
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and peak event periods
- Previous kitchen porter experience is welcome but not essential, as full training is provided
- The right to work in the UK
