Graduate Cambridge is hiring a Bartender to join our bar team.

Set in the heart of Cambridge city centre, steps from the River Cam and The Backs, Graduate Cambridge is a 148-bedroom hotel with a bar and restaurant offer built around seasonal British produce and genuine hospitality. From hotel guests and locals to students, visiting families and wedding parties, our Garden Bar welcomes everyone.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing and serving cocktails, wines, beers and soft drinks to spec
• Delivering warm, attentive service to hotel guests, diners and walk-ins
• Making confident drinks and food recommendations to guests
• Setting up, running and closing down the bar, including stock checks and bar prep
• Keeping the bar, glassware and back bar clean, organised and fully stocked
• Handling payments accurately through our EPOS system
• Supporting events, private dining and room service drinks when needed
• Serving alcohol responsibly in line with licensing law and Challenge 25

What you'll bring

• Previous bartending experience is a bonus, but energy, attitude and a willingness to learn matter most
• A genuine love of looking after people
• Confidence chatting with guests and making recommendations
• Calm under pressure and a team-first attitude during busy service
• A positive, supportive presence behind the bar, even when the tickets are stacking up
• Reliability and flexibility, including evenings, weekends and peak event periods
• The right to work in the UK
