As an Applied Data Insights Analyst at Gradient Sports, you will have a focus on bridging the gap between Gradient’s rich dataset and a club’s daily decision‐making, ensuring every trial converts to a partnership.

Our mission is to be the authority on evaluating player performance by providing unparalleled insights and analysis that empower clubs, broadcasters, and fans to make informed decisions and elevate the global understanding of football.
This full‑time, remote position requires you to be based in the United Kingdom or Europe. You’ll be directly responsible for pre‑sales guidance and support, while working closely with the growth team to maintain existing partnerships and upsell new products and services.
Essential Duties & Functions
- Develop high‑value data visualisation reports using Gradient’s unique metrics, applying recruitment and squad‑planning use‑cases that accelerate trust, buy‑in and adoption across football departments.
- Lead club proof‑of‑concept engagements, guiding technical teams from evaluation to full adoption and long‑term integration.
- Collaborate with the Head of Customer Success to ensure prospects and partners receive exceptional service and support, addressing their needs and feedback promptly.
- Collaborate with the EVP Club and Partner Solutions, EVP Product and Experience to integrate customer feedback into the product development process.
- Collaborate with the Director of Data Science to maintain the latest knowledge of internal research, data roadmap and provide feedback on end‑user experience.
Required Experience
- 3+ years of experience in a recruitment analysis or insights environment within the football (soccer) industry.
- Knowledge of working with football data (Event and Tracking) and presenting analysis in a professional setting.
- Experience with BI tools and programming tools (Tableau/PowerBI/R/Python).
- Excellent communication, relationship‑building, and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical and data‑driven mindset with the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies.
- Passion for sports, particularly football and familiarity with the global football market.
- Experience presenting in person and remotely to a professional standard.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Ability to effectively manage day‑to‑day interactions and relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders across multiple timezones.
Desirable Experience
- Worked with a player grading data set or system.
- Experience building relevant optimum player profiles for recruitment and/or player development.
- Comfortable using design tools such as Figma or Adobe XD.
- Professional proficiency in languages aside from English.
