The Role

Gradial is hiring a Head of Sales, EMEA to establish and grow our presence across the region. You’ll lead our expansion into EMEA by building relationships with leading enterprise marketing organisations and creating the foundation for long-term regional growth. This is a hands-on role for a senior commercial leader who is equally comfortable building a market and closing complex deals. You’ll begin as an individual contributor, owning strategic opportunities from first conversation through contract execution while shaping how Gradial approaches customers across EMEA. You’ll report directly to the CRO and serve as Gradial’s senior commercial leader in the region. As the business grows, you’ll define the structure of the EMEA sales organisation, hire the team and expand your ownership across the regional go-to-market strategy.

What You’ll Own

  • Define and execute Gradial’s sales strategy across priority EMEA markets
  • Build and manage a pipeline of net new enterprise and strategic accounts
  • Own complex sales cycles from initial outreach and discovery through negotiation and close
  • Develop trusted relationships with senior Marketing, Digital, Marketing Operations and Marketing Technology leaders
  • Translate Gradial’s AI-powered capabilities into clear business value for complex enterprise organisations
  • Build account strategies that navigate regional decision-makers, global stakeholders and multi-market buying processes
  • Partner with US account teams to identify expansion opportunities within the EMEA operations of existing customers
  • Establish Gradial’s regional presence through executive relationships, industry networks and strategic events
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Product and Customer teams to shape regional messaging, customer strategy and market priorities
  • Share regional customer insight and competitive intelligence to inform Gradial’s broader go-to-market approach
  • Build the operating model, sales processes and territory structure required to scale across EMEA
  • Hire, develop and lead the EMEA sales team as the region grows

What We Need

  • 12+ years of experience in enterprise SaaS, marketing technology or a related technology sales environment
  • A strong record of winning complex, net new enterprise and strategic accounts across EMEA
  • Experience selling to senior Marketing, Digital, Technology and Procurement stakeholders
  • Deep knowledge of the EMEA enterprise market and strong relationships across relevant customer and industry networks
  • Experience establishing a new region, territory or go-to-market motion with limited existing infrastructure
  • Strong understanding of marketing technology platforms, content operations or enterprise marketing workflows
  • Ability to communicate the value of AI and technical product capabilities in clear commercial terms
  • Experience navigating long sales cycles, global buying committees and complex enterprise contracting processes
  • Strong commercial judgement with the ability to prioritise across markets, accounts and opportunities
  • A hands-on approach to pipeline creation, account development and deal execution
  • Ability to operate independently while collaborating closely with US-based leadership and cross-functional teams
  • Motivation to build and lead a regional organisation as the business scales
  • Based in London with flexibility to travel across EMEA and to the US as business needs require

Nice to Have

  • Experience selling AI-native products or emerging enterprise technology
  • Previous experience building or leading an early-stage EMEA sales organisation
  • Fluency in one or more European languages

What we offer

  • Competitive salary and meaningful equity
  • Comprehensive health, dental and vision coverage
  • Fast-paced environment with flexibility and ownership
  • Real impact, zero bureaucracy
  • A front-row seat to building category-defining AI infrastructure

You’ll thrive here if you...

  • Learn quickly, actively seek out new challenges, and regularly reconsider “how it’s always been done.”
  • Have an innate drive for being 1% better than the day before, building towards greatness.
  • Embrace AI as a core tool for problem-solving, innovation, and scale.
  • Show customer-obsession (internal or external), high ownership/accountability, and bias for action.
  • Communicate clearly, directly, with curiosity, and assuming good intentions.
  • Thrive in fast-paced, hyper-growth environments where building better > maintaining status quo.

AI Literacy & Interviewing Tools

As an AI-first company, we prioritize AI literacy as a core competency in our hiring decisions. We’re excited by candidates who thoughtfully apply AI tools in their work, but during interviews we’re focused on you. This is your opportunity to show how you think, communicate, and solve problems. Over-reliance on AI-generated responses during the interview process (especially when it obscures your own voice) will result in disqualification. We want to understand your unique perspective and how you approach challenges, both with and without AI. Gradial is dedicated to creating an environment where diverse perspectives are valued and all team members can grow. We offer competitive compensation, equity, flexible work hours, comprehensive benefits, and a collaborative culture focused on learning and impact.
