Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? We’re looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team from May 2025.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with teachers and SENCO to support the educational and emotional needs of students with SEND
- Provide 1:1 or small group support across a range of age groups (primary and secondary)
- Assist with adapting learning materials to meet the individual needs of students
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Support with personal care (where required) and ensure student safety and well-being
- Assist in implementing EHCPs and behaviour plans effectively
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a SEND setting or with children with additional needs
- A patient, compassionate, and proactive approach
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to remain calm and confident in challenging situations
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
