We are looking for a Teaching Assistant with EYFS experience to work across welcoming primary schools in Peterborough and the surrounding areas, supporting children to develop socially, emotionally, and academically during their early years. This role is ideal for someone passionate about Early Years education who enjoys flexible supply work and making a positive impact in the classroom.
Responsibilities:
- Support children’s learning through play-based and child-led activities
- Work alongside teachers to create engaging, safe, and inclusive learning environments
- Support children with daily routines, transitions, and personal care where required
- Assist with phonics, early literacy, and numeracy activities
- Support early development milestones, including communication, social skills, and emotional regulation
- Promote positive behaviour and independence in line with EYFS frameworks
- Follow safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times
Requirements:
- Previous experience working within EYFS (nursery or reception)
- A caring, patient, and nurturing approach
- Good understanding of the EYFS framework and early development milestones
- Ability to build positive relationships with young children and staff
- Flexible and reliable, with the ability to adapt to different school settings
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
