Grade A Recruitment are working with a school in Thetford who are looking to appoint a Music Teacher on a full-time basis from September 2026 until Christmas 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate Music Teacher to join a supportive school environment, delivering engaging music lessons and inspiring students to develop their musical knowledge, skills and creativity. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, marking and assessing pupil progress throughout the placement.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging Music lessons across the relevant key stages
  • Assess, monitor and record pupil progress
  • Mark work in line with school policies
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement
  • Contribute to the wider life of the department where required

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching Music within a school setting
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Ability to plan, deliver and mark lessons effectively
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A passion for music education and pupil achievement
