We are currently recruiting Early Years Teaching Assistants to work on a daily supply basis across a range of primary schools and EYFS settings in Peterborough and the surrounding areas. With multiple Early Years Teaching Assistant roles available, this is a fantastic opportunity for an Early Years Teaching Assistant looking for flexible work that fits around other commitments. These Early Years Teaching Assistant positions are ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting young children’s early development in a nurturing, play-based learning environment.
Responsibilities:
- Support children’s learning and development within EYFS settings as an Early Years Teaching Assistant
- Assist with play-based learning activities that support social, emotional, and academic development
- Work alongside class teachers and EYFS staff to create engaging and inclusive learning environments
- Support children with routines, transitions, and personal care where required
- Encourage positive behaviour, independence, and confidence
- Follow safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times
Requirements:
- A recognised Early Years qualification (Level 2 or Level 3)
- Experience supporting children in EYFS settings
- Enthusiasm for helping children develop socially, emotionally, and academically
- A flexible, proactive, and team-focused approach
- Ability to adapt to different school and nursery settings
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
