Grade A Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Secondary Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and supportive SEMH setting in North Norfolk.
The school is a small, welcoming specialist setting based in a characterful Victorian building, providing a calm and supportive environment for students who may require additional support with their social, emotional and mental health needs.
The Role
- Supporting secondary-aged students with SEMH needs.
- Providing 1:1 and small-group support.
- Helping students engage positively with learning.
- Supporting behaviour and emotional regulation.
- Building positive and trusting relationships with students.
- Working closely with teachers and the wider support team.
- Encouraging students to develop confidence, independence and resilience.
- The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who is
- Experienced working with SEMH, challenging behaviour or additional needs.
- Confident supporting secondary-aged students.
- Calm, patient and resilient.
- Able to build strong relationships with young people.
- Consistent and positive in their approach.
- Passionate about helping students achieve their potential.
Previous experience within an SEN, SEMH, PRU, alternative provision, youth work or pastoral setting would be highly desirable.
