We are currently recruiting Cover Supervisors to work across secondary schools in the Northampton and Kettering areas. This is a daily supply role, ideal for individuals with strong experience working in UK secondary school settings who are looking for flexible work without the requirement for QTS.
You will play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning during teacher absences.
Responsibilities- Supervise whole classes across KS3 and KS4 during teacher absences
- Deliver pre-set lesson plans and ensure pupils remain on task
- Maintain a positive and purposeful learning environment
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
- Support pupil engagement and wellbeing
- Follow safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times
- Provide feedback to teaching staff at the end of the day where required
- Previous experience working in a UK secondary school (essential)
- Confidence supervising KS3 and KS4 classes
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Reliable, flexible, and professional approach
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- QTS not required
- Flexible daily supply work to suit your availability
