We are seeking a committed and compassionate KS1/KS2 Teacher to join a welcoming school in Ipswich from January. This is a full-time role, initially for one term, with the potential to continue for longer depending on school needs and performance. The school supports a mixed academic cohort, including pupils working below age-related expectations. Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive lessons across KS1 and KS2
  • Adapt teaching to meet a wide range of learning needs and abilities
  • Create and maintain a calm, structured, and supportive classroom environment
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils to support both learning and wellbeing
  • Use effective behaviour management strategies rooted in consistency and clarity
  • Work collaboratively with SEN staff, support staff, and external professionals
  • Monitor progress and adapt teaching to support pupils working below age-related expectations
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching in KS1 and/or KS2
  • Strong understanding of inclusive practice and differentiation
  • Ability to quickly build rapport with pupils and establish routines
  • Calm, patient, and resilient approach to classroom management
  • Experience working with pupils with SEN, ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs, or EAL
