Grade A Recruitment is proud to be working in partnership with several secondary schools across the Peterborough area to appoint highly motivated and experienced Heads of Subject for a January 2026 start. These positions offer an excellent opportunity for passionate educators to take on a leadership role and drive academic excellence within their specialist subject area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide effective leadership and management of the subject department, ensuring high standards of teaching, learning, and achievement.
- Support and develop teaching staff to deliver outstanding lessons that engage and inspire students.
- Oversee curriculum planning, assessment, and the implementation of departmental improvement strategies.
- Monitor pupil progress and use data to inform decision-making and raise attainment.
- Collaborate with senior leadership and contribute to the wider strategic development of the school.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with secondary teaching experience in one of the specified subjects.
- Demonstrable success in improving student outcomes and leading teams effectively.
- Strong organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
