We are seeking an ambitious and experienced Business Studies teacher to take on the role of Head of Business Studies at a mainstream secondary school on the outskirts of Peterborough. This is a full‑time, permanent position starting in September 2026 and is an excellent opportunity for someone ready to take the next step in their career.
The successful candidate will lead and develop the Business Studies department, ensuring high‑quality teaching and learning across KS4 and KS5, including A Level.
Responsibilities- Lead and manage the Business Studies department
- Plan and deliver high‑quality Business Studies lessons up to A Level
- Develop and implement an engaging, effective curriculum
- Monitor pupil progress and raise standards across the department
- Support and mentor colleagues within the department
- Contribute to whole‑school improvement and development
- Ensure safeguarding and school policies are followed at all times
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Minimum of 3 years experience teaching Business Studies
- Experience teaching Business Studies up to A Level
- Strong subject knowledge and passion for the subject
- Leadership potential with a desire to progress into a management role
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
