Are you a passionate and inspiring QTS English Teacher looking for your next exciting opportunity? We’re working with a selection of amazing secondary schools in Peterborough who are on the lookout for talented English Teachers to join their teams on a temp-to-perm basis, with ASAP and September 2025 starts available.

About the Role:

These schools are known for their supportive leadership teams, strong department structures, and commitment to student success. As a QTS English Teacher, you will be delivering engaging and creative lessons across KS3 and KS4, and possibly KS5 depending on experience and school.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adapting lessons to meet a range of learning needs
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that inspires a love of English
  • Contribute to departmental planning, meetings, and whole-school development
  • Support extracurricular activities related to literacy and language
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and support staff

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
  • Experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable but not essential)
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Passion for English and the ability to bring the subject to life
  • Commitment to inclusive education and student development
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
