The successful candidate will lead a thriving DT and Food department, inspiring students through innovative teaching and a curriculum that develops creativity, practical skills, and real-world problem-solving. The Role As Head of Department, you will: * Provide strategic leadership for Design Technology and Food Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with potential KS5 opportunities). * Lead curriculum planning, development, and assessment. * Drive high-quality teaching and learning across the department. * Support, develop and inspire departmental staff. * Monitor progress and implement strategies that ensure excellent student outcomes. * Promote the value of practical and vocational learning throughout the school. The Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who: * Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). * Has a proven track record of delivering outstanding outcomes in DT and/or Food Technology. * Demonstrates strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate colleagues. * Is passionate about practical, creative, and technical education. * Has excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills. * Is committed to raising aspirations and achievement for all students.
