The predicted salary is between 40500 - 49500 £ per year.
This 12‑month placement gives you the opportunity to work within the Fuel Route Department, supporting equipment reliability, plant performance and engineering assurance across electrical, mechanical and C&I systems. You’ll work in a multi‑discipline team, learn the fundamentals of nuclear safety, and gain experience in operational engineering at a functioning power station. You will also take on real project work that contributes directly to plant reliability, safety systems and departmental improvement activity.
To be considered, applicants must:
- Be on track to achieve (or already hold) at least a 2:2 degree in one of the following: Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Control & Instrumentation Engineering
- Have strong analytical and technical problem‑solving skills
- Be confident working in a safety‑led, regulated engineering environment
- Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Have a genuine interest in large‑scale engineering, plant systems and nuclear operations
- Hold the legal right to work in the UK from the placement start date
- Curiosity about plant systems, reliability engineering or operational safety
- Experience with technical analysis, lab work or engineering projects
- A proactive approach to learning and problem solving
