This is a 12-13 month placement at a leading UK leisure and hospitality business looking for an ambitious and analytically minded Insight Research Executive to join its growing Guest Insight team. This is an exciting opportunity for somebody early in their insight, research or analytics career who enjoys turning complex customer data into clear commercial recommendations and actionable business insight.

Working within a fast-paced, high-performing environment, you will support the delivery of quantitative insight projects focused on customer experience, guest journeys, brand perception and operational performance across a large national consumer business. The role would suit somebody naturally curious about customer behaviour, trends and decision-making, with strong attention to detail and a passion for storytelling through data.

The Role

You will support the day-to-day delivery of customer insight and research activity, helping senior stakeholders better understand guest behaviour, customer satisfaction and business opportunities. Responsibilities will include:

  • Producing weekly and monthly quantitative insight reports and dashboards
  • Supporting the creation of senior leadership insight presentations and board-level reporting
  • Writing surveys and questionnaires for ad-hoc research projects
  • Analysing customer experience and operational data to identify trends and opportunities
  • Supporting wider business functions including operations, food & beverage, leisure and activities teams
  • Managing survey incentives and supporting customer feedback programmes
  • Supporting internal stakeholders with insight platform usage and reporting tools
  • Delivering training sessions and onboarding support for internal users
  • Assisting with annual benchmarking, forecasting and performance target setting
  • Translating complex datasets into clear, commercially relevant recommendations

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for somebody who combines analytical capability with strong communication skills and genuine curiosity around customer behaviour and business performance. Ideal candidates may come from backgrounds including:

  • Customer Insight
  • Consumer Research
  • Data Analytics
  • Market Research
  • Hospitality Analytics
  • Retail Insight
  • Commercial Research

Key Criteria

  • Some experience within Customer Insight, Research, Analytics or a related field would be an advantage.
  • Experience analysing quantitative data and identifying trends or actionable insight
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Comfortable producing reports, dashboards and presentations for stakeholders
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Naturally curious, analytical and detail-oriented
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
  • Interest in customer behaviour, consumer trends and brand experience
  • Experience within hospitality, leisure, travel or retail would be advantageous but not essential
  • Degree educated or equivalent experience within Insight, Research, Analytics or related disciplines

Desirable Skills

  • Experience using survey and insight platforms such as Qualtrics
  • Experience presenting insight findings to stakeholders
  • Understanding of statistical methods or customer data analysis
  • Ability to simplify complex information into clear commercial recommendations
