A national property and asset management organisation is hiring a Property Case Handler to manage and progress a portfolio of residential and commercial properties across receivership, lettings and sales. This is a hybrid role based in Exeter (4 days in the office, 1 day remote), offering full training, clear progression and long-term career development within the UK property and financial services sector.
Salary: £26,000 rising to £27,000 after probation
Hours: Monday to Friday, 36.25 hours per week
Holidays: 25 days plus bank holidays
The Opportunity
You’ll be responsible for managing live property cases where lenders have taken control of assets due to mortgage breaches. Your role is to help stabilise, manage and progress each property towards resolution, whether that means managing tenants, coordinating repairs, collecting rent or supporting a sale. You’ll work with a wide range of stakeholders including tenants, estate agents, contractors, solicitors, managing agents and lenders, making this a varied, fast-paced and highly transferable role. No property experience is required – full training is provided.
What You’ll Do
- Manage your own portfolio of property cases across receivership, lettings and sales
- Investigate each property’s status and recommend next steps
- Communicate with tenants, borrowers, lenders and professional partners
- Instruct and liaise with estate agents, contractors, valuers and solicitors
- Coordinate maintenance, rent collection and legal notices
- Keep case management systems accurate and up to date
- Meet service level agreements, targets and reporting deadlines
- Support team leaders and senior managers with case progression

Education & Experience
No property experience required. Backgrounds in administration, customer service, legal support, finance or operations are ideal.
