We are looking for an organised, confident and motivated individual to join a growing property and asset management team in Exeter. You do not need previous property experience. You will receive structured training and ongoing support from experienced colleagues. This opportunity would suit someone with experience in administration, customer service, legal support, financial services or operations who wants to develop specialist skills and build a long-term career.

Following your training, you will manage a portfolio of property cases, communicate with customers and professional partners, maintain accurate records and ensure each case progresses within agreed deadlines. This is not a call-centre or general customer-service position. It is a varied case-management role offering genuine responsibility, professional development and exposure to property, legal and financial processes.

What Does the Role Involve?

The organisation manages residential and commercial properties where a lender has taken control following a breach of a mortgage agreement. Each case is different. Depending on the circumstances, you could be:

  • Communicating with tenants and borrowers.
  • Arranging property inspections, repairs or maintenance.
  • Coordinating rent collection and tenancy matters.
  • Instructing estate agents, valuers, contractors and solicitors.
  • Helping prepare a property for sale.
  • Reviewing documentation and investigating the circumstances of a case.
  • Providing updates to lenders and other professional stakeholders.

You will not be expected to understand property law, mortgage processes or receivership from day one. You will initially work on straightforward cases with guidance from experienced colleagues, taking on more responsibility as your knowledge and confidence develop.

Your Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

  • Managing and progressing your own portfolio of property cases.
  • Reviewing each case and identifying the actions required.
  • Communicating professionally with tenants, borrowers, lenders and external partners.
  • Instructing and liaising with estate agents, contractors, valuers and solicitors.
  • Coordinating maintenance, tenancy matters, rent collection and legal documentation.
  • Keeping case-management systems accurate and up to date.
  • Managing deadlines, service levels and reporting requirements.
  • Identifying and escalating complex or sensitive issues.
  • Providing regular case updates to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Supporting senior colleagues with the progression of more complex cases.

Who Would This Role Suit?

No previous property experience is required. We are particularly interested in hearing from people with experience in:

  • Administration
  • Customer service
  • Legal administration or conveyancing support
  • Financial services
  • Banking or mortgage administration
  • Insurance or claims handling
  • Housing or lettings administration
  • Operations or case management

Recent graduates and people looking to move into property or financial services are also encouraged to apply.

What We’re Looking For

You should be:

  • Highly organised, with strong attention to detail.
  • Confident communicating by telephone and email.
  • Comfortable managing multiple tasks, cases and deadlines.
  • Calm and professional when dealing with sensitive situations.
  • Able to investigate problems and recommend practical next steps.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and learning new IT systems.
  • Comfortable taking ownership of your workload.
  • Able to maintain accurate records and follow structured processes.
  • Motivated to learn and develop within property and financial services.
  • Comfortable working in a busy, target-driven environment.

What’s on Offer?

Starting salary of £26,227. Salary increase to £27,000 following successful completion of probation. Opportunity to earn a small monthly performance-related bonus. Full training and structured onboarding. A supported introduction to case management. Hybrid working following completion of initial training. 25 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays. Company pension and additional benefits. Regular team and social events. Clear career progression within property and financial services. A stable, permanent role within a growing national organisation.

Why Apply?

You will gain practical experience across property management, lettings, sales, legal processes, mortgage lending and asset management. You will be trusted with your own portfolio while receiving support from experienced colleagues. As your knowledge develops, you will have the opportunity to manage more complex cases and progress within the organisation. This is a strong first step for someone who wants more responsibility than a general administration or customer-service role and is ready to build specialist professional experience.

Applicants must have permanent, unrestricted permission to work in the UK. Unfortunately, visa sponsorship is not available.
