A global infrastructure and engineering consultancy is hiring a Graduate Electrical Engineer to join its Water Engineering team in Glasgow. This role offers the chance to work on major water and wastewater infrastructure projects, helping design and deliver the systems that power, control and optimise treatment plants, pumping stations and distribution networks across the UK.

The Opportunity

You’ll join a specialist electrical engineering team supporting the delivery of new-build and upgrade projects across the water sector. Your work will focus on the electrical systems that keep critical water infrastructure running safely, efficiently and sustainably. From designing control panels and cable networks to defining how treatment plants operate, you’ll gain hands-on experience across the full project lifecycle while working alongside mechanical, process and civil engineers. This is a career-launching role with structured development, professional support and exposure to nationally significant infrastructure projects.

What You’ll Do

  • Produce cable calculations, cable schedules and circuit schedules
  • Develop lighting and electrical layouts
  • Create MCC and control panel specifications
  • Support the production of electrical design and technical documentation
  • Use industry-standard tools such as Amtech and lighting design software
  • Work with internal and external design teams, clients and contractors
  • Support project reporting and technical coordination
