Where You’ll Work - QED Environmental Systems, a subsidiary of Graco, Inc., remote. QED Environmental Systems is the market-leading provider of environmental technology solutions. We design, manufacture and support solutions for groundwater, soil and gas management and detection applications into environmental, industrial and renewable energy markets worldwide.

Responsible for the direction and leadership of the sales function for the company, achieving agreed sales volumes and developing policies and procedures that will meet the objectives of the company’s sales strategy. In doing so, identifying new market opportunities, and ensuring the effective development and promotion of the company and its products. The position reports to the Managing Director. Travel (up to 50%) both local and international, will be required.
What You Will Do at QED- Create, manage, and deliver the full commercial plan for QED’s EMEA and AP operations.
- Play an active role in the identification and generation of new business opportunities for QED.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure QED’s focus on the Customer is always prioritized.
- Work closely with Engineering to ensure new product development is targeted to meet current and future needs and managing New Product releases.
- Evaluate market trends to determine pricing to balance costs, margin, competition, and supply/demand factors.
- Prepare accurate and complete Sales reports to management within QED and Graco.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships & partnerships.
- Develop a clear understanding of category-specific landscapes and trends.
- Maintain a full record of competitors, by segment, with how QED succeeds in supporting partners.
- Liaise, when required, with wider Graco colleagues to maximize impact.
- Understand and effectively communicate the company’s value proposition, reinforcing benefits and avoiding selling on price alone.
- Lead, mentor, manage, and staff the sales team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and promoting a culture of excellence.
- Drive team performance by setting clear goals, providing ongoing feedback, and facilitating professional growth opportunities.
- Identify and solve customer/partner issues strategically.
- Effective networking with industry and technology peers to ensure QED remains at the forefront of industry knowledge, information, and future trends.
- Where needed, lead process improvement teams.
- Participate in M&A projects when required, to support QED’s inorganic growth efforts.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- University degree or formal Sales qualification(s).
- A proven track record of delivery in Sales, with at least 5 years’ experience.
- Experience in water measurement, testing, and remediation preferred.
- Strategic planning and organizational skills.
- Strong ability to lead, motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Effective presentation and negotiation skills, alongside a strong IT competency.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, alongside outstanding interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a challenging but rewarding environment, often across multiple projects, delivering to often tight deadlines.
- Experienced in managing, influencing, and instigating appropriate change.
