Join the Grace’s Bakery Team as a Shop Supervisor in Yarmouth. Grace’s Bakery is looking for an organised, friendly, and motivated individual to support our Yarmouth team and occasionally cover at other locations. If you love working in customer-facing roles and enjoy inspiring others to deliver exceptional service, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the Shop Manager in the day-to-day running of our Yarmouth store
  • Stepping in for the Manager during their absence
  • Opening and closing the shop and managing keys securely
  • Handling cash, including cashing up and ordering change
  • Managing stock levels, ordering supplies, and ensuring effective stock rotation
  • Serving customers and providing accurate allergen information
  • Promoting our customer loyalty scheme and monthly offers
  • Preparing and serving food and drinks (including using an espresso machine)
  • Ensuring consistently high standards of customer service
  • Maintaining compliance with food hygiene regulations and supporting our 5-star hygiene rating
  • Assisting with rota planning and responding to staff absences
  • Acting as a positive role model and upholding the expectations in our Company Handbook
  • Contributing to performance monitoring, feedback, and on-the-job training

Person Specification:

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has previous leadership experience (ideally in a retail or food service setting)
  • Is confident in customer-facing environments and enjoys upselling products
  • Can motivate and lead a team while resolving problems calmly and effectively
  • Is adaptable, solutions-focused, and maintains a positive attitude during change
  • Is able to travel to all Grace’s Bakery locations (Newport, Ryde, Shanklin, Yarmouth)

Hours and Pay:

£13 per hour, 32–48 hours per week (4 to 6 days - up to 6 days occasionally for holiday or sickness cover). Shifts between 7:30am and 6pm, Monday to Saturday. Main place of work: Yarmouth, with occasional travel to other store locations required for holiday and sickness cover.
