Grace’s Bakery has a fantastic opportunity to join our Ryde Bakehouse team as a Longlife Confectioner. If you are passionate about cake production and enjoy working in a fast-paced bakery environment, this could be the role for you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Baking and decorating large quantities of cake products
- Mixing and moulding doughs for morning goods and cake items
- Following recipes and production specifications accurately
- Maintaining consistency in quality, finish, and presentation
- Operating bakery equipment such as mixers and ovens
- Preparing ingredients in line with production schedules
- Ensuring correct baking, cooling, and storage processes are followed
- Entering deliveries and ensuring accurate stock control
- Managing stock rotation in line with food safety standards
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment
- Adhering to all food safety, hygiene, and Health & Safety procedures (training provided)
- Working both independently and as part of a team to meet production targets
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a passion for baking and confectionery production
- Has strong attention to detail and takes pride in their work
- Can work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment
- Is reliable, punctual, and well organised
- Is comfortable working on their feet and carrying out physical tasks
- Has a positive, proactive attitude
- Works well both independently and within a team
- Has good communication skills
- Is available to work Monday to Saturday between the hours of 5am to 2pm (Availability to work between the hours of 2pm to 12am for team holiday cover is desirable)
Hours and Pay:
- £12.75 per hour (Reviewed following successful completion of probation)
- 30 - 48 hours per week
- 5 - 6 days a week Monday to Saturday
- Between the hours of 5:00am and 2:00pm (This role is 'job and finish' so sometimes the department may finish a bit earlier or a bit later, depending on the volume of orders on that particular day)
